Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr.Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Monday that education was most effective weapon against scourge of terrorism,extremism.The present democratic government is making all out efforts for providing educational facilities to all, she added.In a meeting with a delegation from United Kingdom High Commission and Department for international development, UK and Pakistan Education Task Force Secretariat,she said education is the backbone of democracy and engine of growth.She told the delegation that after the passage of 18th Amendment,education department has been devolved to the provinces which can help in better policy making at the provincial level.
The minister said there is a need to evolve a national strategy for better implementation of provincial educational policies
