Shumaila’s uncle escapes life attempt, CM Punjab takes notice

Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of an attempt to murder Muhammad Sarwar, paternal uncle of Shumaila Kanwal who committed suicide after the killing of her husband Faheem by Raymond Davis in Lahore.
Muhammad Faheem, resident of Faisalabad, was killed by American national Raymond Davis in Lahore on January 27.
Shamila’s uncle Muhammad Sarwar, resident of chak 189-JB Rasoolpur Nethri was pursuing the case due to which he received threats of dire consequences.
On Wednesday some unidentified assailants forced their entry into Sarwar’s house and administered him poisonous pills.
On the directives of Chief Minister Punjab, Divisional Commissioner Tahir  Husian, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Aftab Cheema, District Coordination Officer (DCO) Naseem Sadiq and others visited the hospital to inquire about condition and treatment of Muhammad Sarwar.
They directed the hospital administration to provide best medical treatment to the victim and stressed all out efforts to save his life.
According to hospital administration, the condition of Muhammad Sarwar was improving.
